Initial list of probables announced, 26 players to start training.

The initial list of probables for the Indian senior men’s football team training camp has been announced, with 26 players set to start training in Odisha capital on May 10. Head coach Igor Stimac revealed the first list of players on Saturday, while the second list of 15 probables includes players from Mumbai City FC and Mohun Bagan SG, who will join the camp on May 15 after participating in the ISL Cup final. In total, 41 players will be part of the national camp as preparations begin for the FIFA World Cup 2026 preliminary joint qualification round 2 matches against Kuwait and Qatar.

India currently holds the second position in Group A with four points from four matches. The upcoming matches against Kuwait and Qatar on June 6 and June 11, respectively, will be crucial for the team’s qualification hopes for Round 3 of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and a spot in the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.

The second list of 15 probables for the Bhubaneswar camp includes goalkeepers Phurba Tempa Lachenpa and Vishal Kaith, defenders Akash Mishra, Anwar Ali, Mehtab Singh, Rahul Bheke, and Subhasish Bose, midfielders Anirudh Thapa, Deepak Tangri, Lalengmawia Ralte, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Liston Colaco, and Sahal Abdul Samad, along with forwards Manvir Singh and Vikram Partap Singh.

On the other hand, the first list of 26 probables comprises goalkeepers Amrinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, defenders Amey Ganesh Ranawade, Jay Gupta, Lalchungnunga, Muhammad Hammad, Narender, Nikhil Poojary, and Roshan Singh Naorem, midfielders Brandon Fernandes, Edmund Lalrindika, Imran Khan, Isak Vanlalruatfela, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Mahesh Singh Naorem, Mohammad Yasir, Nandhakumar Sekar, Rahul Kannoly Praveen, Suresh Singh Wangjam, and Vibin Mohanan, in addition to forwards David Lalhlansanga, Jithin Madathil Subran, Lalrinzuala, Parthib Sundar Gogoi, Rahim Ali, and team captain Sunil Chhetri.
