After Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool, manager Mikel Arteta provided an update on the injuries of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
There were concerns about Saka’s fitness after he was forced off the pitch following an injury to his right foot and ankle, however, Arteta reassured reporters that the young star “should be fine.”
Saka was even able to join his teammates on the bench and celebrate after the final whistle. On the other hand, Gabriel Jesus was unable to participate in the match due to a setback in training, reportedly related to his knee.
Arteta mentioned it is expected to be a short-term issue and expects him to have some time off. As for Zinchenko, the defender was substituted at halftime due to a calf injury, and Arteta stated that the extent of his injury is still unknown.
