Film 13 Ghosts (1960)

Film “13 Ghosts” (1960) is a haunted-house thriller produced by William Castle. The story revolves around a family residing in the mansion of Dr. Zorba, finding out they are not alone. Dr. Zorba harbored 12 specters on the premises, only detectable through ghost-viewing goggles. The family also learns about a hidden fortune in the house. The film used the special “Illusion-O” process, where audiences could use tinted glasses to see ghosts on screen. Castle introduced the process and even suggested spotting ghosts outside the theater.
