Film “Rio” released in 2011 follows Blu, a macaw domesticated in Moose Lake, who embarks on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro. Blu and Linda believe he’s the last of his kind until they hear about Jewel. They head to Rio to replenish the species, but run into trouble with animal smugglers. Jewel stages an escape with Blu and they team up with local birds to evade capture. Blu must find the courage to take flight to reunite with Linda. The film features an ensemble voice cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, and more.
