Film “Shanghai Knights” (2003) brings together East and West to fight villains in the British Empire. Chon Wang and Roy O’Bannon team up to avenge Wang’s father’s death and recover the stolen Imperial Seal in London.
Chon, now a Sheriff in Nevada, and his sister Lin, with martial arts skills, track down the criminals. They uncover a plot involving Lord Rathbone and Wu Chan, with O’Bannon falling for Lin along the way.
The movie is a blend of action, adventure, comedy, and western genres. While set in Victorian London, it was actually filmed in the Czech Republic, which resembled England at the time.
Rated PG-13, “Shanghai Knights” is a fun and entertaining sequel to the popular film “Shanghai Noon,” showcasing Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson’s chemistry in a new setting with thrilling action sequences and comedic moments.
