Kate Beckinsale, Scott Eastwood, and James Cromwell will star in the kidnapping drama “Stolen Girl” directed by James Kent.
Inspired by the real story of Maureen Dabbagh, the film follows her quest to find her daughter abducted and taken to the Middle East.
In the movie, set in 1993, Maureen’s daughter is taken out of the country by her ex-husband.
After years of searching, Maureen meets a professional who offers help in exchange for cooperation.
The film, with a budget of around $26 million, is produced by ILBE and Voltage Pictures, and written by Rebecca Pollock and Kas Graham.
ILBE producers Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi are joined by Frida Torresblanco, Scott Lambert, and Luca Matrundola.
The majority of the filming will take place in Italy.
Director Iervolino expressed excitement about shooting in Apulia, where the movie “In the Fire” was also filmed.
